Rafael Nadal expands business ventures with Zel Hotels and Netflix series

Following his retirement from professional tennis, Rafael Nadal has transitioned into business management, notably through the development of Zel Hotels. This luxury hotel brand was created in partnership with Meliá Hotels International, following a collaboration between Nadal and Meliá CEO Gabriel Escarrer.

The brand aims to export a Mediterranean lifestyle globally, focusing on dynamic experiences and active guest engagement. Nadal noted that the project was inspired by his personal observations of hotel quality and a shifting societal mindset regarding consumer spending and travel.

In addition to his business ventures, Nadal’s personal life and residence in Porto Cristo, Mallorca, have been highlighted in a Netflix docuseries. The series provides insight into his family life and his home, a property he purchased in 2013 that required extensive renovation and architectural supervision by Tomeu Esteva.
