Rafaela builds velodrome, BMX track and skatepark for 2026 South American Games

Rafaela, Argentina, is finalising construction of a covered velodrome, a BMX track and a skatepark ahead of the XIII South American Games scheduled for 2026 in Santa Fe. The velodrome, featuring an international‑standard wooden track installed by Junek Velodromes and approved by the UCI, will be sited in the future Eco‑Park next to Club 9 de Julio. The same district will host a homologated BMX circuit and a modern skatepark for the continental urban‑sports events. The complex also includes a multi‑purpose indoor arena for boxing, martial arts and padel. The works are part of an investment exceeding $23 000 million funded by the Santa Fe provincial government and the CAF, and are intended to leave a lasting legacy for the city, including the Villa Suramericana for delegations and broader urban upgrades such as road paving and avenue widening.
