Rai Calabria hosts student immersion project in Cosenza

The Rai Calabria headquarters in Cosenza is hosting 80 students for a two-day immersive experience as part of the ‘Rai Porte Aperte’ project. Held on October 1 and 2, the initiative allows students to explore the professional mechanisms behind regional television and radio news.

Promoted by the Calabria Region through the Department of Education and in collaboration with the Calabria Film Commission, the program includes visits to television studios, radio studios, and editing suites. Students will participate in activities such as simulating news anchoring and assisting in the production of programs in the Arbëreshë language. The visit also includes observing live TGR broadcasts and engaging in debates with journalists.

Eulalia Micheli, the regional assessor for Education, Sport, and Youth Policies, stated that the project is an investment in the curiosity and skills of new generations, providing hands-on experience with media professions that are typically unseen by the public.
