Rai1 launches second season of legal drama “Libera” starring Lunetta Savino

The Italian series “Libera” returns for a six‑episode second season on Rai 1 this autumn, with each episode lasting about 50 minutes. The new storyline centers on a high‑profile courtroom case involving a young rapper accused of murdering his ex‑girlfriend, while the personal dynamics of judge Libera Orlando (Lunetta Savino) and her family continue to evolve.

The season adds new cast members such as Neva Leoni as a key witness and sees the return of Matteo Martari, Gaetano Aronica, Gaetano Bruno and others. Produced by 11 March Film in collaboration with Rai Fiction and directed by Gianluca Mazzella, the series was previewed at the Italian Global Series in Riccione. Producer Matteo Levi said, “I believe this second season will surpass the first and become a lasting format.”
