Raiffeisenbank Schwaben Mitte launches cryptocurrency trading

Raiffeisenbank Schwaben Mitte, headquartered in Krumbach, has become one of the first cooperative banks in Bavaria to offer cryptocurrency trading. The bank received approval from the regulatory authority BaFin to facilitate the trading of digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Customers can access a crypto depot through the bank's mobile application. This move follows a trend among German financial institutions, as several Sparkassen have also begun entering the cryptocurrency investment market. While traditional savings activities, such as those observed during World Savings Week, remain a focus for younger clients, the bank is expanding its digital offerings to include modern investment vehicles.
