Rail traffic disrupted between Predeal and Brașov due to fallen tree

Train services on Magistrala 300 were interrupted between Predeal and Brașov on Thursday afternoon after a tree fell onto the tracks. The incident occurred at km 148+900 between the Predeal and Timișu de Sus stations, affecting both tracks.

By 18:50, rail traffic resumed on the first track between Predeal and Timișu de Sus. Specialized teams from the Brașov Regional Railway Branch (SRCF Brașov) continued working to clear the second track to restore full service.

The disruption caused several trains to stall, including the IR 346 (Bucharest Nord – Wien Westbahnhof) and R 3025 (Bucharest Nord – Brașov) at Predeal station, and the R 11038 and IR 1636 at Timișu de Sus station. The incident was first reported by the driver of the Regio 11038 train.
