Railway police arrest coach attendant for liquor smuggling

Railway police at Ballia station in Uttar Pradesh arrested a coach attendant from the Garib Nawaz Express for allegedly smuggling liquor into Bihar. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Rahul Kumar Ram from Bhagalpur, Bihar, was found with more than two dozen liquor bottles in his bag during a routine check.

Authorities stated that the accused reportedly purchased alcohol in Uttar Pradesh to transport it to Bihar, where he would sell it at higher prices to exploit the state's prohibition laws. Following an investigation and the filing of a case under the Excise Act, the individual was sent to jail.
