Railway traffic interrupted between Bălănoaia and Stănești

Railway traffic between Bălănoaia and Stănești was temporarily interrupted on Saturday, August 22, due to a locomotive malfunction. A freight train operated by Constantin Grup experienced a failure that left the consist immobilized on the line.

To resolve the issue and clear the infrastructure, an auxiliary locomotive was provided from the Giurgiu Nord station. The disruption also affected the IRN 460 train, operated by CFR Călători, which was held at the Giurgiu Nord station until the line was cleared. Following intervention by CFR S.A., traffic resumed safely at 16:00.
