Rain and hailstorms bring cooler temperatures to Lahore and Punjab

Rainfall and hailstorms have lashed various parts of Lahore and Punjab, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. In Lahore, significant precipitation and hail were reported in localities including Gajjumata, Nishtar, Chungi, Walton, Harbanspura, Gulberg, DHA, Model Town, and areas along Raiwind Road. The city's temperature was recorded at 23°C, with minimum temperatures expected to reach 17°C.

In Punjab, heavy rain affected areas such as Narowal, Shakargarh, Kartarpur, and Noor Kot, intensifying cold conditions following similar weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Islamabad also experienced cloudy skies and light rain.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast further rain and thunderstorms across Lahore, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Some isolated locations may experience hailstorms due to strong westerly winds. While unsettled weather is expected in northern regions, most other parts of the country are predicted to remain dry.
