RAJA conducts emergency water main repairs in Mangalia and Mamaia

The water utility company RAJA is conducting emergency repairs on major water mains in the Constanța region following significant infrastructure failures.

In Mangalia, crews are addressing a failure on a 600 mm diameter water main in the IAS area. To minimize impact on tourists and residents during the summer season, repairs are scheduled for the night of August 7–8, 2026, between 23:00 and 06:00. The outage will affect consumers in Jupiter, Cap Aurora, Venus, and Saturn, as well as the northern part of Mangalia. RAJA noted that water may appear turbid or discolored upon restoration and advised using it only for household purposes until it clears.

In Mamaia, a major failure occurred on a 600 mm water main near the Piccadilly Hotel on Friday, August 7, 2026. Repairs required a temporary suspension of water supply from 19:30 to 02:00, affecting areas between Summerland and the Năvodari lock, including Mamaia Sat and Mamaia Nord. The intervention also necessitated the closure of the first traffic lane on Mamaia Boulevard, with local police assisting in traffic management.
