India's Bihar, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu Conduct Major IAS/RAS Officer Transfers
The Bihar government reassigned 21 Indian Administrative Service officers, appointing Kundan Kumar as the new District Magistrate of Patna and moving Alankrita Pandey to Bhagalpur, among numerous other district‑level changes aimed at strengthening governance.
In Rajasthan, the chief minister ordered the transfer of 178 Rajasthan Administrative Service officers, reshuffling senior posts, university registrars and corporation MDs; Vinita Singh was moved from MD of the State Seed Corporation to head the Rural Livelihood Council.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission also saw new appointments, with Prof. Santosh Anand and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma named as members and Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Kesari Singh Rathore appointed acting chairman following the retirement of Chairman U. R. Sahu.
Tamil Nadu announced a parallel reshuffle, moving several IAS officers to new district collector posts and creating temporary senior posts such as Director of Geology and Mining and Director of Tourism, with transfers affecting officials in Chennai, Madurai, Sivaganga and other districts.
