Rajasthan Government Transfers 18 IPS Officers in Late‑Night Reshuffle

The Rajasthan state government carried out a major police administration reshuffle on the night of 15 July, moving 18 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to new posts. The changes include two officers at the Director General (DG) rank, the Jodhpur Police Commissioner, and the Inspector Generals (IGs) of the Ajmer and Bharatpur ranges. New Superintendents of Police (SPs) will be appointed in four districts, and the high‑profile SP of Balotra, who rose to prominence after a refinery accident, was also transferred.

Additional moves involve senior officers such as Anil Paliwal, shifted from DG (Training & Traffic) to DG and Commandant General of the Home Guards in Jaipur, and senior IPS officer Malini Aggarwal appointed DG (Police Traffic). Officers Pradeep Mohan Sharma, Ajay Singh Rathore, and Anushtha Kalia received new postings within the Jaipur police hierarchy, while several IGs were reassigned to different functional areas. The reshuffle also altered the roles of the Jodhpur Commissioner, senior officials in the crime and SS‑B branches, and other district SPs across the state.
