Rajasthan Public Service Commission cuts senior teacher vacancies to 9,651

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) issued a corrigendum reducing the number of senior teacher posts in its 2026 recruitment from 10,537 to 9,651. The change applies to secondary‑education positions and does not affect any other recruitment conditions.

The written examination is scheduled for 12 – 18 July 2026 and will proceed according to the previously announced timetable. More than 1.23 million candidates have applied for the exam, making it one of the state’s largest teacher recruitments. Despite petitions filed in the Jaipur bench of the Rajasthan High Court seeking a postponement of the exam and a reopening of the application form, the commission confirmed that preparations are complete and no schedule changes will be made.

All other eligibility criteria, age limits, selection process and subject‑wise vacancy details remain unchanged. Applicants are advised to consult the RPSC website for the latest notifications and examination instructions.
