Rakuten Mobile adds iPhone 16 and 17 to promotional installment plan

Rakuten Mobile has expanded its ‘Rakuten Saikyo Plan & iPhone Replacement Super Value Program’ to include the iPhone 16 (128GB) and iPhone 17 (256GB).

Under this campaign, customers who switch from another carrier (MNP) and subscribe to either the ‘Rakuten Saikyo Plan’ or ‘Rakuten Saikyo U-NEXT’ can access reduced monthly installments for the first 24 months. For the iPhone 16, the monthly cost is 500 yen, while the iPhone 17 is 999 yen per month.

If the device is returned in the 25th month, the remaining 24 installments are waived. This effectively allows users to utilize the devices for approximately two years for a total cost of 12,000 yen for the iPhone 16 and 23,976 yen for the iPhone 17, excluding a 3,300 yen administrative fee. The program requires payment via Rakuten Card and excludes purchases made through the Rakuten Mobile Official Rakuten Ichiba Store or ‘Rakuten Saikyo Plan (Data Type)’ contracts.
