Ralph Siegel in Artificial Coma, Partner Nicole Calls for Privacy
German composer and 1982 Eurovision Song Contest winner Ralph Siegel, 80, has been placed in an artificial coma after developing a severe lung infection. He has previously survived four cancers and an earlier lung infection, and his family remains hopeful about his recovery.
His longtime collaborator and fellow Eurovision winner Nicole posted on Instagram, stating she will not comment publicly, asking the public to respect the family’s privacy, and wishing Siegel “all the best, strength and a heartfelt hug.” His daughter Alana described him as a fighter and expressed optimism about his chances of regaining health.
