Ramón Díaz rejects Corinthians offers to pursue River Plate return

Ramón Díaz and his son and assistant, Emiliano Díaz, have rejected proposals from the Brazilian club Corinthians. The decision was driven by Ramón Díaz's desire to pursue a final coaching cycle at River Plate in Argentina.

Emiliano Díaz described the refusal as the “most difficult decision of my career,” explaining that his priority was to support his father in fulfilling his professional dream. Despite the rejection, Emiliano expressed gratitude to the Corinthians supporters and promised to return to the club in the future.

In Argentina, the news has sparked discussions regarding the leadership at River Plate. While Leonardo Ponzio currently holds an interim role, there is growing speculation that Ramón Díaz could be a candidate to lead the team in the future, especially if current results do not meet expectations.
