Ramos Arizpe launches breast cancer prevention campaign

The municipal government of Ramos Arizpe, through the Municipal DIF, has initiated a series of awareness and prevention activities for breast cancer as part of the ‘Pink October’ campaign. To symbolize solidarity and hope, the facade of the Municipal Presidency was illuminated in pink during a ceremony held at the Plaza de Armas.

The campaign, titled ‘Tócate sin miedo y cuídate con amor’ (Touch yourself without fear and care for yourself with love), focuses on promoting self-care, regular medical check-ups, and early detection. These efforts aim to reach women in both urban areas and rural communities to increase access to preventive health services.

Teresita Escalante Contreras, honorary president of DIF Ramos Arizpe, emphasized that early detection is vital for effective treatment and protecting the well-being of families. In addition to breast cancer awareness, the campaign includes health services such as Pap smears and prostate antigen studies.
