Randy Arozarena hits historic milestones for Seattle Mariners
Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena achieved several significant milestones during a recent series against the Chicago Cubs. On August 23, Arozarena hit his 20th home run of the season, marking his sixth consecutive year reaching the 20-20 club (at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in a single season). He joins an elite group of players including Willie Mays, Barry Bonds, and Bobby Abreu who have achieved this feat for six straight seasons.
Arozarena also made MLB history by becoming the sixth player to hit home runs to both open and close a game on the same day. During the weekend series, he contributed three home runs and five RBIs to help Seattle secure the series victory.
The Mariners currently sit three games away from a Wild Card spot with 31 games remaining in the regular season.
