Randy Travis to release first album in 18 years

Country music veteran Randy Travis is set to release his first album of original music in 18 years, titled Same Old Way, on November 13. The project consists of 12 tracks recorded between 1986 and 2013 that were previously unreleased.

These songs were pulled from Travis’s personal vault and have been remastered by his longtime producer, Kyle Lehning. The release is particularly significant as Travis has been unable to sing following a stroke in 2013 that resulted in severe language impairments.

As part of the lead-up to the release, Travis and his wife, Mary, shared some of the music with families at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis. One of the preview tracks, 'I Know Where I'd Be Without You,' is described as a song of love and devotion dedicated to his wife.
