Rangers eye new manager as Danny Rohl linked to RB Salzburg and Steven Gerrard named candidate

Danny Rohl, the current Rangers manager, is reported to be on the radar of Austrian club RB Salzburg. Former Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is said to have helped put Rohl in frame for the Salzburg vacancy.

If Rohl departs, Rangers have begun assembling a shortlist that includes former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, former Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes and former Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat. Gerrard would have to abandon a scheduled Liverpool Legends appearance in Malaysia should he take the Rangers job.
