Rangers FC expects further signings as Driouech move nears completion
Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh has announced that the club expects to complete three to five additional signings before the summer transfer window closes. Speaking at a shareholder forum in Glasgow, Cavenagh described the club's transfer activity so far as “clunky,” noting that while nine players have already been recruited, further squad strengthening is required to meet the ambitions of manager Derek McInnes.
In addition to incoming players, Cavenagh confirmed that several current players are expected to depart the club.
As part of this recruitment drive, Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech is expected to arrive in Glasgow to undergo medical examinations. The 24-year-old is moving from PSV Eindhoven to Rangers in a deal valued at approximately €8 million (£6.9 million). Driouech has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract, with an official unveiling expected imminently.
