Rangers name Derek McInnes manager, consider Lewis Ferguson swap

Rangers have appointed former Hearts boss Derek McInnes as the club’s 22nd permanent manager. McInnes, a former Rangers player, replaces interim arrangements and will lead the team into the new season.

The club is also reported to be negotiating a swap deal with Italian side Bologna that could see Scottish international Lewis Ferguson join Rangers while Belgian midfielder Nico Raskin heads to Bologna, with a transfer fee likely involved. The move follows Lawrence Shankland’s arrival at Ibrox earlier in the summer.
