Rapid Bucharest appoints Italian fitness coach Eros Giglia to new manager Daniel Pancu's staff

Rapid Bucharest announced that Italian fitness coach Eros Giglia, 30, has joined the technical staff of new head coach Daniel Pancu. Giglia arrives from Genoa CFC, where he worked as a physical trainer for the past two years, and holds FIGC and UEFA B licenses from the Coverciano Technical Center. The hiring follows other recent appointments, including former Rapid U16 coach Geraldo Alves, former FC Argeș assistant Marius Suller, goalkeeper coach Leontin Toader, video analyst Ciprian Niță, and additional fitness staff Armando Lungu.

The club also released its preseason programme ahead of the 2026‑2027 SuperLiga season, detailing training camps and friendly matches scheduled from mid‑June through early July, including a camp in Bad Leonfelden (Austria) and friendlies against Rapid Vienna, FC Košice, Slovan Liberec and a final camp match.

Rapid’s owner Dan Șucu confirmed the move, highlighting Giglia’s experience in elite performance development.
