Rapid București adds 1.94‑m Slovenian defender Alin Kumer Celik
Romanian club Rapid București has completed the signing of 19‑year‑old Slovenian centre‑back Alin Kumer Celik. The 1.94‑metre defender, who most recently played for Genoa Primavera, arrived in Bucharest after major shareholder Dan Șucu gave the order for the transfer, which is expected to be formalised for a reported fee of around €200,000. Celik, who can also operate as a left‑back, has represented Slovenia at U16, U17 and U19 levels.
Rapid’s president Victor Angelescu also said the club is negotiating further foreign acquisitions, including a central midfielder, an attacker and another defender. In parallel, 17‑year‑old Andrei Șucu, the son of Dan Șucu and a product of Rapid’s academy, will stay with the first‑team squad as no loan offers have materialised; his future will be decided by coach Daniel Pancu based on performance. Additionally, the club is close to loaning Kosovar winger Drilon Hazrollaj to Albanian side KF Tirana for a reported €400,000 fee.
