Rapid defender Cristi Ignat eyes high‑pay Russian move

Rapid Bucharest’s 23‑year‑old central defender Cristi Ignat has received a tentative offer from a Russian club that could pay him more than €30,000 per month, roughly €360,000 for a single season. The proposal is being negotiated and could be finalised early next week.

Ignat, who has made 37 appearances for Rapid, spent the latter half of last season on loan at Petrolul and was a reserve in the opening 1‑0 win over Sepsi. He is also listed as a target for clubs in Greece and Cyprus, while his contract with Rapid runs until the summer of 2028.
