Boca Chica shooting kills urban artist Diddy Glow

Urban music artist Alexis Delgado Ortiz, known professionally as ‘Diddy Glow’, was killed in a shooting in Boca Chica, Santo Domingo, on Saturday afternoon. The incident, which occurred in the La Coca sector, also resulted in the death of another unidentified individual and left at least five people injured.

Preliminary reports suggest the shooting may have been triggered by a dispute or could be related to gang activity. Some accounts indicate the violence erupted during a gathering where individuals were observing a betta fish fight. Witnesses reported that unidentified armed individuals arrived and opened fire on those present. Diddy Glow reportedly attempted to flee toward his scooter before being struck by multiple bullets.

The National Police and forensic investigators have cordoned off the area to collect evidence and interview witnesses. While the motive remains under investigation, authorities are working to identify the perpetrators. The death of the 32-year-old freestyle artist and rapper has caused significant mourning within the Dominican urban music community.
