Rapyuta Robotics robots triple processing capacity at Orion Kikai factory

Rapyuta Robotics has announced the successful implementation of its picking assist robot, the ‘Rapyuta PA-AMR’ (Autonomous Mobile Robot), at Orion Kikai’s Suzaka Inter Factory in Nagano Prefecture. The deployment is part of Orion Kikai’s broader initiative to transition toward smart factory operations by automating and optimizing both manufacturing and logistics processes.

The integration of the PA-AMR has led to significant improvements in shipping operations, including the standardization of workflows and a reduction in worker travel distances. By replacing manual cart transport with robotic movement, the company has also reported a decrease in the physical burden on employees.

According to verification conducted by Rapyuta Robotics, the use of these robots has resulted in a processing capacity up to three times higher than estimated operations relying solely on manual labor under specific conditions. The implementation has also encouraged continuous on-site improvements, with workers adapting operational methods to simplify input processes.
