Raspberry Pi launches 10‑inch Touch Display 2 with 1200×1920 resolution and 10‑point touch

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has introduced the official 10‑inch Touch Display 2, priced at US$80 (≈ NT$2,600). The portrait‑oriented panel offers a 1200×1920 IPS display, 85° wide viewing angle, 400‑nit brightness and anti‑glare coating, and supports 10‑point multi‑touch.

The display is designed exclusively for Raspberry Pi 5 and compatible Compute Module boards; it cannot be used with older models such as the Pi 4 or Pi Zero. It requires a four‑lane MIPI DSI cable and a new 15‑pin connector. The package includes the screen, a DSI ribbon cable, a power cable for GPIO pins and mounting hardware, enabling plug‑and‑play operation with Raspberry Pi OS and pre‑loaded drivers.

Creator NetworkChuck demonstrated a wall‑mount setup and integrated the screen with Home Assistant via the TouchKio app, highlighting its use as a smart‑home dashboard. The foundation cites applications ranging from home‑automation panels and public kiosks to industrial HMI, digital signage, retro‑gaming consoles and laboratory equipment control.
