Raspberry Pi 10-inch Touch Display 2 launch and series
Overview
In late July 2026, the Raspberry Pi Foundation announced the 10-inch Touch Display 2. The device features a 1920 × 1200 IPS panel, ten-point multitouch, an 85-degree viewing angle, and 400-nit brightness with an anti-glare coating. Priced at US$80, the portrait-oriented display is compatible exclusively with Raspberry Pi 5 and its Compute Module variants, requiring a four-lane DSI interface and a new 15-pin connector. It is incompatible with older models like the Raspberry Pi 4 or Zero series due to bandwidth requirements. The package includes all necessary mounting hardware, power cables, and ribbon cables for plug-and-play use.
Demonstrations by creator NetworkChuck showcased the display as a smart-home dashboard using Home Assistant and the TouchKio app. The Foundation identified various use cases, including public kiosks, industrial HMI, digital signage, retro-gaming, and laboratory equipment control.
By August 2026, reports indicated that the Touch Display 2 is part of a broader series that includes 5-inch and 7-inch models. While the 10-inch version supports ten-finger touch, the smaller 5-inch and 7-inch models are limited to five-finger touch.
