Rassemblement National security checks women at Orléans congress
During the Rassemblement National (RN) party congress in Orléans, security personnel reportedly conducted checks to verify if female attendees were wearing bras. The measure was allegedly implemented to prevent activists from the Femen movement, a feminist group known for topless protests and writing messages on their bodies, from disrupting the event.
The party’s security department, the Département protection sécurité (DPS), reportedly acknowledged receiving instructions for these checks. While women without bras were not systematically barred from entry, reports indicate they were subjected to more intensive searches.
This practice is not considered an isolated incident. Similar checks were reportedly requested in mid-September during Marine Le Pen’s speech in Hénin-Beaumont, where activists were allegedly required to demonstrate in restrooms that they had no messages tattooed on their bodies.
