Ravenna opens nominations for local sports excellence awards

The Municipality of Ravenna has opened nominations for the fifth edition of ‘Sport valore Comune’, an initiative designed to recognize local sporting excellence. Athletes and teams from Ravenna, or those registered with local sports groups, who have distinguished themselves during the 2026 sporting season are eligible for consideration.

Eligible candidates include individuals or teams who have placed in the top three in national, European, or world championships (under CONI or CIP federations), or those who have secured first place in championships organized by EPS or EPSP entities. Additionally, athletes called up to national teams, including youth and Paralympic disciplines, are eligible. The program also allows sports clubs to nominate volunteers who have served their associations for at least twenty years.

Nominations must be submitted via email by November 15. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 1 at 18:00 at the Teatro Alighieri.
