RayNeo iO smart glasses achieve top sales on major Chinese platforms

RayNeo has announced the launch and sales performance of its RayNeo iO smart glasses. The device has reportedly become a sales leader on major Chinese e-commerce platforms, including JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin, breaking previous sales records for new smart eyewear products in 2026.

Designed for all-day wear, the RayNeo iO weighs 34 grams and features a design similar to standard optical glasses. Unlike the company's V4 model, which focuses on first-person photography and video, the iO model omits a camera and speakers to prioritize privacy and lightweight comfort. It functions as an AI assistant, providing features such as real-time translation for 55 languages, AI transcription, message notifications, and information displays.

To address privacy concerns, RayNeo stated that the device uses a hardware indicator light when recording audio, performs local data desensitization to keep only text, and employs AES-256 encryption for data transmission. The glasses utilize a monochrome green microLED waveguide display and support various large language models, including Gemini and ChatGPT.
