Rayo Vallecano fans protest against President Raúl Martín Presa

Tensions are rising at the Spanish football club Rayo Vallecano as supporters organize protests against President Raúl Martín Presa. The Plataforma ADRV has called for a demonstration on September 5, using the slogan “El Rayo es de Vallekas o no será” (Rayo belongs to Vallecas or it won't be). The protest aims to demand the president's resignation and advocate for better conditions at the Estadio de Vallecas, following recent matches being played at alternative venues like the Butarque Stadium.

Key figures in the club's administration include Vice President and Secretary José María Sardá de Abreu, a businessman with extensive interests in the graphic arts and printing sectors. Sardá de Abreu has held various leadership roles within the club and its foundation for over a decade. While the club reported a positive financial result of 1.51 million euros for 2025, the fan base remains dissatisfied with the current management and the perceived mistreatment of the team and its home stadium.
