Rayo Vallecano president Raúl Martín Presa confronts family threats and stadium concession fight

Raúl Martín Presa, president of Spanish football club Rayo Vallecano, reported a wave of hate threats against his family after a funeral wreath was delivered to his 86‑year‑old mother’s home. He said symbols of intimidation, including threatening placards and graffiti, have appeared around the stadium and in the local community, raising concerns for the safety of his family and the club.

Presa also broke his silence on the club’s stadium issue, apologising for an administrative error that delayed required documentation to the Community of Madrid. He warned that the regional authority could withdraw the concession for the Vallecas stadium, jeopardising the team’s ability to play home matches and risking relegation to the Segunda division. Presa claims the stadium is in better condition than ever and is preparing an appeal against the report that it fails safety standards.
