RC Strasbourg bids €5 million for Jeyland Mitchell

RC Strasbourg has submitted an initial formal bid of approximately €5 million to Austrian club Sturm Graz for Costa Rican defender Jeyland Mitchell. While negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, Mitchell has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with the French side.

The 21-year-old defender has seen rapid movement in his European career since leaving Liga Deportiva Alajuelense in 2024. After a stint with Feyenoord in the Netherlands, Mitchell moved to Sturm Graz on loan in September 2025 to secure more playing time. A successful transfer to Strasbourg would mark his third move within European football in just two years.
