RC Vannes focuses on Top 14 transition and squad development

RC Vannes is navigating its transition into the Top 14, focusing on squad building and internal discipline. The club recently expressed interest in signing international second-row Anthony Jelonch from Stade Toulousain, though president Olivier Cloarec noted that the player's salary expectations currently exceed the club's financial capabilities.

On the pitch, the team is preparing for a home match against Montpellier at La Rabine following a recent defeat to Castres. Manager Jean-Noël Spitzer has implemented high-intensity training sessions to address issues with precision and cohesion, specifically calling out errors during practice to ensure the squad is ready for the upcoming fixture.

Veteran player Anthony Bouthier, who returned to the club in 2025, highlighted the significant growth of the organization. Having experienced the club's rise through three different divisions, Bouthier noted that rugby has become a central cultural element in Vannes, with the club evolving from a struggling side to a legitimate Top 14 competitor.
