RD Saúde launches premium Raia Conceito beauty store in São Paulo
Brazilian pharmacy group RD Saúde, which operates the Raia and Drogasil chains, opened its first premium‑beauty concept store, Raia Conceito, on 5 August in the upscale Itaim Bibi neighbourhood of São Paulo. The 364 m² shop is more than twice the size of a typical RD pharmacy and devotes about 65 % of its floor space to beauty products, adding over 2,500 new items to the chain’s assortment. Fifty new brands were introduced, 33 of them positioned as premium, including Carolina Herrera, Lancôme, Shiseido, Curél, Ryo and other Korean and Japanese lines. The store is staffed by roughly ten trained beauty consultants, features a skin‑diagnostic device, a dedicated beauty studio, experimentation benches and a gift‑wrapping station. RD Saúde expects the average basket to be two to three times larger than in its regular pharmacies, with beauty sales projected to reach about 40 % of total revenue. The company, which runs more than 3,600 pharmacies and posted R$47.6 billion (≈US$9 billion) in revenue in 2025, plans to replicate the Raia Conceito format in other Brazilian capitals.
