Øygarden apartment explosion destroys residential building

An explosion and subsequent fire destroyed a multi-unit residential building in Øygarden municipality, Norway. The incident occurred on a Tuesday afternoon at an address in Foldnes, causing a wall to be blown out and the roof to collapse.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance and bomb disposal units, responded to the scene. While authorities confirmed control over the fire and stated there was no immediate risk of spreading, all four residential units in the building were burned down.

A man in his 20s was reported missing following the blast. While police had confirmed the status of all other registered residents, the individual's whereabouts remained unknown at the time of the reports.
