Real Betis nears deal for AZ Alkmaar striker Troy Parrott

Real Betis has emerged as the frontrunner to sign Irish striker Troy Parrott from AZ Alkmaar, with negotiations reportedly in the final stages.

While West Ham United had previously been linked to the player, their interest reportedly waned after an €18 million bid was rejected. AZ Alkmaar is seeking a transfer fee estimated between €25 million and €30 million. Real Betis, looking to strengthen its squad following Champions League qualification, aims to finalize the deal quickly, potentially before their upcoming match against Real Sociedad.
