Real Betis secures La Liga win as Troy Parrott joins squad

Real Betis has begun its La Liga season with a victory, highlighted by the integration of new signing Troy Parrott. The Irish international forward joined the club following an eight-month negotiation process, intended to bolster the team's attacking depth.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Parrott is included in the squad for the upcoming match against Valencia at Mestalla. Pellegrini noted that Parrott arrived with pre-season fitness completed and expressed optimism regarding his scoring instinct, describing him as a powerful area player who will provide important reinforcement to the offensive structure.

While Parrott is ready to play, the squad faces several absences. Players such as Ez Abde, Jose Antonio Morant, and Giovani Lo Celso are unavailable for the match due to fitness or muscular injuries. Lo Celso remains a doubt for subsequent fixtures as the medical staff monitors his recovery.
