Real estate broker prosecuted for using forged land certificates in Phu Tho

Phu Tho Provincial Police have prosecuted Đào Mạnh Cường, a real estate broker born in 1975, for the crime of “using forged documents of agencies and organizations.”

Between March and April 2024, Cường reportedly purchased two counterfeit land use certificates via social media. He subsequently used these fraudulent documents as collateral to secure a loan of 300 million VND from an individual in Hung Viet commune, Phu Tho province.

The decision to prosecute has been approved by the People's Procuracy of Area 1, Phu Tho. Authorities have issued warnings to the public regarding the legal consequences of using forged documents and advised verifying the legal status of all land-related documentation before conducting transactions.
