Land certificate fraud in Vietnam

Overview

Authorities in Vietnam have taken legal action against individuals involved in land certificate fraud. In Phu Tho province, a real estate broker named Đào Mạnh Cường was prosecuted for “using forged documents of agencies and organizations” after allegedly using counterfeit land use certificates to secure a 300 million VND loan.

The suspect allegedly claimed to have government connections to expedite land procedures, using forged certificates to misappropriate 190,000,000 VND.
