Real estate investors expand portfolios in Taiwan and Hong Kong

In Taiwan, Yishan Construction, an established firm specializing in geological improvement and national infrastructure, has acquired land near Xiaogang Forest Park. This move comes despite a challenging real estate market. The acquisition follows a recent nearby land sale by Fengjue Investment for approximately 537 million TWD. Industry experts suggest these acquisitions indicate long-term development potential for the Xiaogang core area.

In Hong Kong, Pan Jieyi of the Owl Square co-living group has purchased a tenement building unit in Sham Shui Po for 2 million HKD. The property, located at 138 Yuen Chau Street, has a transaction price of approximately 3,153 HKD per square foot for certain sections. Pan is pursuing a strategy of acquiring older buildings in Kowloon for redevelopment or conversion into co-living spaces under the Owl Square brand, following a previous 37.2 million HKD acquisition in Cheung Sha Wan.
