Real Madrid remains world's most valuable football brand

The Brand FinanceFootball 50 2026’ report reveals that Real Madrid has maintained its position as the world’s most valuable football brand for the third consecutive year. The club’s brand value reached €2.4 billion, representing a 25% increase, driven largely by the completion of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium renovation and record revenues of €1.221 billion in the 2025/26 fiscal year. Real Madrid also holds the highest Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 95.8 out of 100.

FC Barcelona follows in second place with a brand value approaching €2 billion, a 15% increase attributed to the return to Spotify Camp Nou and recent La Liga titles. Arsenal FC saw the most significant rise, climbing to third place with a value of €1.5 billion after winning the Premier League.

In Portugal, Sporting CP has become the country’s most valuable club, valued at €250 million (a 35% increase), followed by Benfica (€219 million) and FC Porto (€192 million). All three Portuguese clubs entered the global top 25 for the first time.

Separately, Real Madrid enters the new La Liga season under the management of José Mourinho, facing Espanyol in a match that marks his return to the club after 13 years.
