Real Madrid seeks midfield reinforcements amid squad imbalances

Real Madrid is reportedly seeking new reinforcements to address imbalances in their squad. Despite a roster featuring high-profile talent like Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappé, the team has faced challenges regarding defensive stability and midfield control following the retirement of Toni Kroos and the transfer of Luka Modric to Milan.

Manager José Mourinho has expressed a desire for additional defensive and midfield signings. The club was reportedly interested in pursuing Rodri, but the midfielder ultimately chose to join FC Barcelona after discussions with Hansi Flick, leaving a gap in the Madrid midfield that the club aims to fill.
