Real Madrid targets Zubimendi and McTominay for 2027 midfield reinforcement

Real Madrid is reportedly planning to strengthen its midfield in the summer of 2027, identifying Martin Zubimendi and Scott McTominay as primary targets for the defensive pivot position.

According to reports from the Spanish newspaper Sport, the club is monitoring Martin Zubimendi, who currently plays for Arsenal. Zubimendi, a Spanish midfielder previously with Real Sociedad, has seen limited playing time in the Premier League this season, with zero starts. Real Madrid is reportedly looking to rectify a previous failure to sign him due to past indecisiveness.

The second major target is Scott McTominay of Napoli. Real Madrid is interested in exploring the possibility of reaching an agreement with McTominay’s representatives, potentially aiming to secure him as a free agent given his current contract situation at the Italian club.
