Nàstic de Tarragona defeats Real Zaragoza 2-0 in season opener

Nàstic de Tarragona secured a 2-0 victory against Real Zaragoza in their Primera Federación season opener at the Nou Estadi Costa Daurada. The match featured early drama when Sinan Bakis, a former Zaragoza player, scored in the second minute following an assist from Eugeni Valderrama.

Despite Real Zaragoza dominating possession and creating numerous opportunities, they struggled with clinical finishing. Zaragoza manager Ibai Gómez expressed frustration with the result, noting that his team was “absolutely superior to the opponent” and played well from start to finish, but the scoreline did not reflect their performance.

Nàstic sealed the win in the 86th minute with a goal from Carlos Segura. The victory marks a successful start for Nàstic manager Xisco Campos, whose revamped squad demonstrated defensive discipline and effective counter-attacking play. The win has provided a significant boost to the Tarragona-based club as they begin their new campaign.
