Reale Seguros ranks second in Sernac automotive insurance report

Reale Seguros has achieved the second-best performance ranking in the automotive insurance sector for the second half of 2025, according to a report by Chile's National Consumer Service (Sernac). The Italian company, which has operated in Chile since 2017, earned a score of 3.51 points, placing it behind FID Chile (3.43) and ahead of Mapfre (3.67).

The ranking evaluates companies based on the volume of complaints relative to their number of insured clients and the quality of their responses. During this period, total automotive insurance complaints rose by 2.5% to 2,172 cases. A significant driver of consumer dissatisfaction was the refusal to pay for insured losses, which accounted for 39% of all claims (843 cases).

Other primary reasons for complaints included breaches of contracted conditions (12.5%), failure to reverse incorrect charges (9.7%), unjustified delays in technical service (7.6%), and defective repairs (5.9%). Víctor Ugarte, General Director of Reale Seguros, stated that the company focuses on process management, response times, and clear communication to ensure clients can rely on their policies during a loss.
