The Blood of Dawnwalker to receive major 1.1 update next week

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco have announced update 1.1 for the action RPG ‘The Blood of Dawnwalker’, scheduled for release next week. The update includes over 1,100 improvements and fixes.

Key gameplay features include the ‘Draught of Mind Rebirth’, an item allowing players to reset and reallocate character skills such as Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism. The update also introduces the ability to pet dogs and cats using the game’s directional control system. Difficulty settings are being restructured; the previous ‘Story’ mode will be renamed ‘Forgiving’, and a new ‘Story’ mode with additional combat assistance will be added.

A significant change for the Japanese Steam version is the removal of censorship regarding blood and gore. This follows community feedback regarding the previous restrictions on violence and graphic depictions in the vampire-themed title.

Technical improvements include updates to Frame Generation technology, adjusted camera movements during combat, enhanced targeting and lock-on systems, and improved responsiveness for traversal abilities like Shadowstep and Planeshift. Accessibility options are also being expanded with larger subtitle font sizes and the ability to enable subtitles for all dialogue.
