Receita Federal opens consultation for R$ 1.26 billion tax refund lot

The Receita Federal has opened the consultation for the September residual income tax refund lot. A total of R$ 1.26 billion will be paid to 412,186 taxpayers on September 30.

This lot includes individuals who submitted 2026 declarations late, those who resolved pending issues (malha fina), and residual refunds from previous years. Approximately R$ 466 million is designated for those with legal priority, including seniors over 80, seniors aged 60-79, people with disabilities or serious illnesses, and teachers.

An additional 281,609 taxpayers received priority by using pre-filled declarations or opting for Pix payments. Taxpayers can check their status via the Receita Federal website or mobile app. Payments will be made to the account or Pix key provided in the declaration. If a payment fails due to an inactive account, funds will be available for retrieval at Banco do Brasil for up to one year.
